Helens. This Mountain got its name from a British diplomat known as Lord Saint
Helens and is located in the Skamania Country in Washington State formed in the northern region of the United States of America. Mount Saint Helens is known to be one of the top 10 most famous volcanoes in the world due to the deadly pyroclastic flows and ash explosions well known to it.
A volcano is a mountain with a vent at the top where magma and gasses from the earth's Mantle erupt on the earths crust and turn into lava caused by the movement of the tectonic plates. Tectonic plates are big pieces of the lithosphere

float on the mantle but are under the crust. Volcanoes are caused when the tectonic plates collide at the convergent boundaries when they subduct it makes tall mountains, which would later erupt causing volcanoes.
According to the people this volcano is known to be "The Worst Volcano
Ever" because of the damage it caused and the lives and properties it took.
A
Mass number of Earthquakes along side landslides and avalanches followed this stratovolcano, a volcano that explosively erupts fast moving hardened lava. This volcano is a historical event where 100s to 1000s of people go to see it yearly.
The volcano blew off about 1,100 feet of the mountain and the first time it ever exploded was 10,000 B.C.
On March 16,1980 before it erupted, the volcano showed some signs of happening by small earthquakes, 11 days later there were even more earthquakes, hundreds, and after centuries, the Mount St. Helens volcano in
1980 erupted. Days after the eruption the main vent had increased in size with a diameter at about 400m (1300 feet). The volcano's eruption rate was 1 per hour at March 1980, but changed to 1 per day in April 1980.
In the cascade mountain range the National Volcanic Monument is where this dangerous disaster started. After killing 57 people and destroying countless numbers of properties the repair cost was 1.1 billion US dollars. This disaster caused other disasters like floods from the melted ice and forest fires from
the ash. This devastating event changed Washington.
Next, Mount St. Helens was hit by surprise by the Volcano of 4.2 magnitudes in the early spring of 1980.The Volcano also caused an avalanche around that area which made the explosion increase by a lot. In the first 5 minutes of this disaster a new crater rim was formed. The lava melted snow and ice causing water to gush down the volcano and mix with rocks from the Lahars, a type of mudflow formed by volcanoes, the Lahars came down in numbers causing mass destruction. It was a pyroclastic volcano, a volcano with fast moving lava and really high temperatures.
Furthermore, after the volcano, more volcanoes like the Mount Saint
Helens occurred around the world and are called sector collapses, landslide volcanoes. This lead to restudying and changing volcano drills around the world to prepare for them.
Later, scientists discovered it could be predicted accurately as a result of repetitive experiments on eruptions that was observed by using gas emissions, earthquake activity, surface deformation, and so on. 14 different successfully eruptions were predicted as a result of their discovery. So they were able to save more lives.
In conclusion, Mount Saint Helens was undoubtedly one of the worst volcanoes ever. It was a devastating and sad event. Making scientist undergo a more sturdy case on the volcano in order to drop the damages, even though it took so many lives and properties it is a national monument in the USA today.
