Movie Analysis: Disney's The Kid
Disney’s The Kid

The movie that we are is Disney’s The Kid.The movie is about past and future. The main character is Rus. Rus has three timelines of himself. His littler self him and his older self.

My favorite part of the movie is when Rusty goes over to the kids that are about to light the dog on fire. The place where they try to light Tripod on fire , is where nobody can see you behind the kindergarten section. They tied Tripod up to a pole.

My favorite character is Rusty the smaller version of Rus. Rusty is a little fat kid. Rusty is a little cry baby too. He does get mad sometimes so stay back.

The place that Rusty went behind is the kindergarten. The place was dark. It had a gate around it. It has some trash cans and some posters

According to Professor Heather Paxson (2006) of MIT, gender refers to the characteristics that differentiate men and women’s behaviors and it includes value judgments connected to masculinity and femininity and everything in between. However, as one learns more and more about gender, they question the necessity of gender and even its existence. In the piece X: A Fabulous Child’s Story by Lois Gould (1978 or 2006) gender is portrayed as unimportant in order to have a good life; gender doesn’t matter. It shows that people have a need to categorize everything into groups because if they don’t, the unknown lingers in their minds and they fear it. People fear the unknown and the different, therefore they fear any gender other than the binary. But…

At the beginning of the movie, Bruno is completely naive about Germany patriotism. It has the audience curious because Bruno live in Berlin where is known as the capital of Nazi Germany. He at first thought the concentration camp as a farm where he could possibly meet his potential playmate. It is surprising when Bruno is unaware of the Nazi’s propaganda against the Jews. Assumingly, Bruno and Gretel are going to a public school where Nazis ideology was educated in the early age. Even with an overprotective mother, Elsa, Little Bruno must have seen the inequality in Berlin such as benches at the park labeled as “Aryans only” and the Jews being rejected from using streetcars in Berlin. As a German boy, Bruno must have witness the scene of “der Führe”, the leader, passing the city with their expensive car. However, it is the opposite with Bruno, instead of acknowledging the Nazi activities, he is utterly impractical about what is happening in Germany during the 1940s like the children today.…

Having your book turned into a movie is a dream come true: the genius of your mind on the big screen for all to see, coupled with a small dose of fame and fortune. It is everything an author could hope for. Not J.D. Salinger, though. It is well known that the brilliant American author refused to sell his movie rights. Filmmakers had to craft the little pieces of Salinger in their hearts into other, Salinger-inspired stories. One of these stories is played out in the film The Royal Tenenbaums. You don’t have to look closely to find the bits of the Glass family stuck in this tale.…

I first watched this film two years ago when I saw it in the library DVD shelve. I found the concept of babies interesting since they are adorable and tiny, but watching it with a symbolic interaction perspective has given me an insight that I did not have the first time I watched it. Even though all the babies were born to different social environments and economic statuses, the parents wanted their child to be safe and provided what they perceived to be the best basic needs.…

The first movie that I chose was Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I know it sounds cheesy and overuse but I feel that this movie describes my creative side. This movie has always boosted me up to be creative and create art. This movie is very beautiful in animation, especially since it is stop clay animation. This movie has some very creative characters like the Mayor, Lock, Shock, and Oogie Boogie and each character had a different view on everything. I love making weird creative art because no one else in the world will have it. I love making my own stories with my drawings and this movie can always get me out of my artist block when I am in…

A Christmas Carol, both the play and the movie, have many similarities with just as many differences. Although the movie was created as a follow-up to the play, there were many times where the movie was completely different. On occasion, there would be times where you could follow along to the movie with the script, but most of the time, it would be somewhat the same. The script compared to the movie is more informing and fills in empty holes. Although watching the movie is easier, in order to get all of the facts straight, it would be better to read the script or see the play.…

Almost fifty years after WWII, director Steven Spielberg creates the award winning film Schindler's List. Following the true story of Oskar Schindler, a Czech who joined the Nazi party to secure a fortune as a factory owner, has a change of heart after seeing Jews being persecuted. Schindler goes from exploiting Jews to saving over one thousand Jews by the end of the war. Schindler’s List is recognized as one of the most historically accurate Holocaust films, even so, there still can be problems with the film. "As a natural consequence of this process, the memory of the Holocaust has taken on specific American forms." (Dochartaigh) It is important to create films of historical events to shed light on tragedies, however, these films must be…
