Conchetta had been Mr Pignati’s whole world and they had never needed anyone else, so when Conchetta passed away Mr Pignati had no one to lean on. When he met John and Lorraine they gave him a reason to move forward with his life and once again do the things he enjoys. Mr Pignati shared many of the things he loved with John and Lorraine and he told them many stories he hadn’t told anyone since Conchetta’s death. He loved having someone to talk to and he felt like he was young again. One of the many things he did with John and Lorraine was visiting the Beekman’s department store. They also bought many things that John and Lorraine had never tried before such as chocolate coated ants and frogs legs.
