James Michael Reaves case at MPTF is a unique case requiring several fundamental changes in his care. First, is his residency which is currently at The Lodge. Second, is the matter of the lack of respect and treatment. He does not have a physical voice and thus far has not had someone present to communicate for him entirely. I have tried both respectfully and pleasantly, assertively, and even at times pleadingly to all staff and administration only to have his wishes that I am trying to convey and carried out, at best fall on deaf ears.…

The NCO support channel is subordinate to and supportive of the chain of command. The NCO support channel is not an independent channel. It is incumbent on the users of this channel to ensure that the chain of command is kept informed of actions implemented through the NCO support channel and to eliminate the possibility of the NCO support channel operating outside of command policy and directives. Problems should be brought to the attention of the chain of command and resolved through a coordinated effort. Since the NCO support channel should be operating in accordance with established command policy and directives, conflicts should be minimal and easily resolved.…

Unfortunately, it appears that this is, by law, “fair” as Mr. Retzer owes a fiduciary duty to Mrs. Retzer. Now is this actually a “fair” situation is a whole other question. No, I would say this is not a “fair” circumstance for Mr. Retzer as he has been basically betrayed by his wife, whom he has to now make money for, to the best of his ability. To me this does not seem fair as far as my understanding of the term goes, however by law he must abide. Unless they previously agreed upon in their term agreement to avoid a situation like this, Mr. Retzer must protect Mrs. Retzer’s stake in the company. I believe she should lose her position in the company; as she is not the person Mr. Retzer thought she was. This would make it a “fair” situation…

Some thirty years ago, the RAND Corporation, American's foremost Cold War think-tank, faced a strange strategic problem. How could the US authorities successfully communicate after a nuclear war? Post nuclear America would need a command-and-control network, linked from city to city, state-to-state, and base-to-base. But no matter how thoroughly that network was armored or protected, its switches and wiring would always be vulnerable to the impact of atomic bombs. A nuclear attack would reduce any conceivable network to tatters. And how would the network itself be commanded and controlled? Any central authority, any network central citadel, would be an obvious and immediate target for an enemy missile. RAND mulled over this grim puzzle in deep military secrecy, and arrived at a daring solution. The network would have no central authority. Furthermore, it would be designed from the beginning to operate while in tatters.…
