Christopher is a strong example of someone one who enjoys solitude and does not feel strongly affected by that. He does not put in much thought or care into what others think and he does not feel the need to assure the presence of others in his life. Mrs. Dalloway on the other hand has a strong need to be assured there is stability in her relationships in life and she is overly conscious about how others manifest themselves in her life. This has to do with the fact that the overwhelming guilt and self consciousness has a lot to do with depression its self. These both stem from the neurodivergences they have particularly how Autism is often seen as a ‘social impairment’ which narrows down on “(1) social impairment, (2) communication impairment, and (3) repetitive fixed interests and routines. How these differ impact the different kinds of relationships grow and although both these books take place in England which gives a severe cultural bias, there is still truth to the experiences Christopher and Clarissa Dalloway go through. They are polarized experiences and while they both put a strain on interpersonal relationships there is certainly a difference. Autism is about the issues of mismatching personalities where as depression has much more to do with the inner turmoil frustration that a persona struggles through. People can be a goddamn nightmare to be around, but it is inevitable
