In amateur and Olympic boxing the fighter must follow very strict safety rules, which includes mandatory head gear, so why not in professional boxing? If it is made mandatory for professional boxers to wear head gear, future health risks will diminish and other physical problems can be avoided. Boxers work/ train very hard to remain ultimate athletes and to stay in top shape, but later down the road when they are not so active is when they become venerable to diseases. As a national professional sport, safety regulations must be applied to not only make sure that the athletes are safe in the ring but also outside of the ring. Boxers are great physical specimens that can recover from most injuries, but brain tissue that has been damaged remains damaged.
