When the one man per family draft came, Mulan was mad that they made her old and weak father go to war. She took matters into her own hands by taking her father’s armor and disguised herself as a man to enrolled in the war. If the army finds out who she really is, they will execute her. Due to her women stature, she wasn’t as strong or skilled as the men. This weakness only made her stronger because she trained harder than them. With her leadership and wits, the Chinese army were able to take down the Huns and save the emperor from their leader’s wrath. At the end of the movie, the emperor found out that she was a girl, but instead of executing her, he rewarded her with the council's position. Even though she had broken the law, she was able to honor her whole country. She also succeeded in making her parents proud and setting a role model for the young children. She inspired other women to be strong and that marriage is not the only way for women to honor their families. She had successfully found her own path instead of following what was expected of
