Children in the US should have music classes, which is a key factor to a quality education. According to Washington Post, “Children’s ability to appreciate the rhythmic aspect of speech is correlated with the ease with which they learn to read, even when controlling for phonemic awareness.” Music can help with many other subjects, such as reading, and it can even help with rhythm in speech. Schools which have music curriculum sometimes don’t even let the kids play their instruments, and they make them work on sheets instead. This affects a lot of kids in the US. Moneyless schools who do not have music are also affected. To help your music curriculum, support it and donate to it. Help out other schools who are poor if you can. Everyone should have music education because it is like an elixir for the brain, and it is something anyone can do.
