The Great Depression had all started because of money and when the stock market crashed in 1929. During this hard time people didn't necessarily want to listen to music because their emotions were all over the place. Music was also known for being an excitement and bringing better, happier moods. There was this music called swing music that brought an electrifying effect to people and it came out. It was very popular and became known as its own era, this swing music came out in 1930 a year after the Great Depression. People who actually were depressed and upset during this time didn't want to look to swing music because it brought such a happy mood and people didn't want that. “Even though the Great Depression was the initial cause of big bands and swing music. Because of the Great Depression, people had pent up emotions and were physically not ready for any music. When Swing music came along, it had an electrifying effect on people.
