Music throughout the years has evolved from the renaissance to Rock-n-Roll and Hip-Hop. The music these days music these days are usually Rap, Hip-Hop, Rock-n-Roll, Christian Rock, and R&B. These types of music are not just listened to by random people they are listened to by people who love the sound or what the song is talking about. But I am not going to talk about the people I’m going to talk about what music was listened to in the past. Music formally started from medieval / renaissance era. At this time the instruments used were either string, piano, or drum based following trumpets. The music made were melody type like Fur Elise. Throughout the renaissance instrumental dance music flowered and thrived, and was composed or improvised by many people. Because of the renaissance people wouldn’t have gotten the idea of dance music that makes you want to move. The next era of music is the 20th century. The 20th century saw a revolution in music listening as the radio gained popularity worldwide and new media and technologies were developed to record, capture, reproduce, distribute music. Music performances became increasingly visual with the broadcast and recording of music videos and concerts. Music of all kinds became increasingly portable. Headphones allowed people sitting next to each other to listen to entirely different performances or share the same performance. 20th century music brought a new freedom and wide experimentation with new
