My Favorite Place
Campus life is full of new experiences and challenges, and is the time to add a new lifestyle and more responsibilities to your plate. It is a place where you get treated like adults and are here, by choice to further your education and to achieve your goals in life. We as adults have to take on responsibilities, and you choose to do them, it is really up to you. People who enroll in school should be ready for what campus life has to throw at them.
The decision to continue your education in college is one that needs to be made with the understanding of reaching your life's goals. The purpose of college is to educate yourself , so when making that decision, it is a priority to ones new lifestyle. To enter college without the desire to learn is really a waste of time. While in college, you have to be mature enough to manage things on your own. You have to be able to rely on your own self to get things done. Attending classes, completing homework, and studying, are some examples of being a responsible adult in college.

Scheduling your life is a priority to campus life. A college student must find time in their busy schedules to study. A normal adult may have time to get everything done and still have time to spare. A college student on the other hand, is constantly on the go. College students have busy schedules that include working, studying and socializing. College can be stressful if students fail to balance life on campus and life outside of campus. Many students attend college while working part-time or even full-time jobs. After studying for a test or preparing for a presentation at work, students should be able to take time for enjoyable activities such as reading a book, going for walks, socializing with friends, seeing a movie, and other activities to relax their minds.

Being a responsible adult, a student should know their limitations to having freedom. One example, if a student has to study for a test and their friends want

Going to college is very important to me and has many purposes. Attending college can be challenging, but it can only help you and your future. One important reason to attend college is to further your education. Furthering your education not only helps you understand things in life, but it also allows you to get a degree. By having a degree it can open doors for job opportunities and many other things. Getting my degree is very important to me. College is also a time to grow up and become an adult. College is a time to learn to be independent, to learn to be responsible, to mature, and to learn real world responsibilities. One must become responsible while in college, because you don’t have parents to tell you what to do anymore. Your decisions affect you, and can affect the people around you. My parents have stressed to me since day one how important college is. They told me I wasn’t getting a free ticket into college, and that I had to work and become something of myself. I had to work not only on my academics, but also at my athletics. College is a wonderful opportunity to make lifelong friendships and memories that one can cherish forever. Being a part of a school is a great feeling and I can’t thank my parents enough for pushing me every step of the way to get me where I am today. It was a little ruff, but it was all worth it. College is a time for one to have fun, and to become a part of your school you attend. Get involved. Join something you haven’t done before, whether it is a sport, a faith based organization, or something involving your field of study. College is all about learning new things and experiencing things you never have before, so why not take advantage of it. College is a very important thing to me, and it is something everyone should take seriously because it is not free, and you can learn so much from attending college. College is a once in a lifetime thing, so I say make the best of it. I cannot wait to see what the rest of this year…

It reminds me of the days when I lived in Vietnam where I was born, especially the coconut trees, the hot and humid weather are like Vietnam. Jiuzhaigou valley literally means “nine village valley”. The name is from the nine Tibetan villages along its length. Jiuzhaigou located at the southern end of the Minshan mountain range that is the northwestern of Sichuan province. The valley is known for its many multi-level waterfalls, colorful lakes, and snow-capped peaks. Its elevation ranges from 6,600 to 14,800 ft. I went there with my friends at the spring of 2009. First we took a flight to the capitol city airport at Sichuan. Then we took a bus drive us to the Jiuzhaigou valley. That is a really long drive takes like 4 or 5 hours; and most part of the driving is at the edge of the mountain. Because of the elevation keep increasing, most of our group have the altitude reaction such as headache, anoxia and nosebleed. However, after we arrive the valley, all the reaction just go away because the air is so fresh and the beautiful scenery. We have a rest at the hotel for one night; then we start our travel along the Jiuzhaigou valley. There are seven of the nine Tibetan villages are still populated today; and three of the seven are open to tourists. The three villages are Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, and Shuzheng Valley. Rize Valley is 11 miles long and contains the largest variety of sites. Going down from its highest point, one passes the following sites: the Primeval Forest, Swan Lake, Grass Lake, Arrow Bamboo Lake, Panda Lake, Five Flower Lake, and Mirror Lake. The forest is a preserved ancient woodland. It is fronted by spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and cliffs, including the 500 m high blade-shaped Sword Rock. Swan Lake is a 2250 m long, 125 m wide picturesque lake named for its visiting swans and ducks. Grass Lake is a shallow lake covered in intricate vegetation patterns. Arrow Bamboo Lake is a shallow lake with a depth of 6 m. It lies at an elevation of 2,618 m, and was a main…

My favorite place is Old Harbour, Jamaica. Old Harbour is a small town approximately 30 miles west of Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. Originally called Esquivel, after its Spanish founder, it was famous for shipbuilding. Old Harbour Bay, as the locals call it, is the largest fishing village on the southeast side of the island. Here you will find, many locals congregating in the open air market, awaiting the arrival of the fishermen to return from the “sea” with the day’s freshest catch. While sipping “Red Stripe”, I see local fishermen coming ashore with their precious cargo (fish, crab, lobster, and conch) in their old, shabby worn fishing boats. Immediately, the fish scaler’s, who have waited patiently for hours, begin to work for their money and/or food for the day. I am amazed by the varying colors of skin tones, Jamaicans of African descent (dark brown skin), East Indian descent (fair complexion), known as “Coolie”, and Chinese descent (light complexion), sometimes called “Chiney”. Although “Countrymen” now, each brings a skill set from traditions of past generations in net and boat mending techniques. I watch in utter amazement, as a fisherman uses antiquated tools and techniques for repairing his boat. I close my eyes and listen to the sensual and sultry sounds of reggae music. I hear seagulls squawking about and in the distance, faintly hear the sounds of children’s laughter, as the aroma of fish frying, steamed lobster and crab, permeate the air. As the sun begins to set, a warm breeze blows in from the “sea”, I think to myself, how astounding the beauty and peacefulness of Old Harbor Bay!…

My favorite place when I was young was my house. We had a huge yard. In the yard there were many trees and flowers, and some of the trees were very big and tall. My family house was the only house that had so many big trees in the neighborhood. It was a big white house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. My favorite room was the living. The living room is the first room when entering the house. This room is filled with very lively furniture. Comfortable, tan leather couches, colorful rugs over the bare wood floor, and a large display case with pictures, books, and many memories of friends and family. And I mustn’t forget about the enormous window that, during the day, will let as much sunlight and energy in the room as it possibly can. I used to lie on the couch to read a book, or have a nice afternoon nap.…

Every spring break my family and I load up our family truck and ride countless hours to my favorite place. The excitement and thrill that rush through my veins when going to my favorite place, sends a thoughts to my head about what I will do and where I will go. You are never too old to go to this place, and there is always something to do no matter what age you are. Although the tickets can be somewhat on the pricey side, every dime you spend will without a doubt be well worth it. When you first walk into the park, you immediately smell the variety of foods from all over. The excitement from people can be heard miles away on the rides. There are shopping malls throughout the entire theme park. Disney World is without question my favorite place.…

Everyone has a special place, a place where you have memories, where you can find peace and harmony. A place where you know you are just happy being there. For some it's a quiet place, for others it's a noisy place. But all of these places have one thing in common; they are places where you think first when asked. My favorite place is a city from where I live in Vietnam, a city called Hanoi. Hanoi, which is the capital of Vietnam, has a long history of culture and development. Situated in the north-east of Vietnam, Hanoi is the most beautiful city in the country and…
