If I had to select a person as my hero, I would say my best friend’s mother, Elaine Stokes. I would say her because I have known her for a long time now and since I don’t have my biological mother in my life, she has been there for my sister and I since I met her.
There are a lot of reasons why I can say that she is my hero. My freshman year my sister and I met her daughter in our Biology class. From there we became best friends and began to spend a lot of time together and going to each other’s house. Since then Elaine has became like a mother figure for the both us. There has been numerous times when my father had things to do concerning his job and she has been willing to let my sister and I stay over.
Elaine is also there whenever I need to talk to her. I know that if I ever needed someone to talk to when I feel as if I cannot talk to my father, I can go to her. Everything that she has told me I take it into consideration and I know that she wouldn’t lead me in the wrong way. She also has been there with talking about furthering my education and encouraging me.
So if I had to choose someone as my hero, it would definitely be Elaine Stokes. She is a great mother to her own child and my sister and I, she is a very encouraging person, a great role model, hardworking and independent.
