This article beautifully focuses on a legacy that is truly the most valuable item. The true legacy is the quality of life you have left behind. The interactions we had with the people around us is how we will truly be remembered. Did we love those who felt unlovable? Did we help those who were need? Did we look outside of our world and see those around us? Did we stop and befriend those who were in need of one?

A truly fulfilled life is a deep relationship with our Creator and meaningful relationships with family and friends. We should spend the majority of our life focused on what is going around us. We are running a race we can never win if it is focused on material and worldly possessions.
I am not saying that we should never enjoy material items or money because they can bring us joy. We should work and have nice things, but just understand that it is not everything. If it comes down to it where we would have to choose between working late or going to a family event. Go to the family event. We have to understand that life is more and there is beauty in the simple things.

It helps bring to light what is important and what is not. I do not want to come to the end where life has ended and dying has begun with only having worked and not truly lived. I want to live now and not only when the end is looming over me. I want to be able to lay my head down at the end of the day and feel fulfilled. Feel like I made a real impact on the world around me.
Our whole life we should strive to live a full life with friends, family, and an intimate relationship with God. There is something quite beautiful as we go towards the end of life. One can finally rest knowing that all the chaos has ended. All the running around and trying to achieve these big goals are no longer the only thing in sight. It is all behind you and you can finally rest. You can sink into your family and relationship with God.
As we age and come to the end it may be scary. There may have to be some mental hurdles we have to jump though. If given the time it may be good to make peace with those around you. Say the goodbyes to the people around you even if they are not ready to say goodbye to
