As you complete each item on this orientation checklist, click the appropriate box to signify that you were able to complete each task. Log into BlackBoard and bookmark (add to favorites) the following link to the login page: http://escc.blackboard.com Save this document to your computer as you will need to submit the completed list to me as your first graded assignment. Select the Course Content link
Print a copy of the Syllabus. In order to do this, you will need to save a copy of the document to your computer, open it, and select the print option. Read the Course Suggestions page Click the Course Calendar link Click the links to every section in each unit under Unit Material. Note any problems. Follow the link to Student resources. Click on Companion Website to make certain you can navigate to the resources the textbook offers. Review the Instructor Information on the welcome page and note office hours and contact information for meeting with me as necessary. Select the Evaluation Tools link. First click the Quiz link. This is where you will take your chapter quizzes. Next, follow the My Grades link. This is where you can maintain a running tally of your scores on each assignment. The subsequent link, Assignments, displays your unit essay assignments (as well as this graded orientation). When you have completed this orientation, you will submit it through the Assignments Dropbox for grading. Select the Communications link and see where to send email to instructor and/or classmates for this course. This option also has a link to our discussion board. Regular communication is key to the success of an online course. I highly recommend that you make a concerted effort to utilize these vital tools. Send the instructor an email that you have completed the distance learning orientation, have read and understand all policies/procedures, and will abide by them. Read the course syllabus,
