My Most Memorable Day
Jzhane Jones October 22nd, 2014 52332226
The most memorable day in my life is when I meet my best friend Kyla. I was dating this boy named Quinlynn for about 2 ½ years and we first started dating we went about it all the wrong way. We snuck around and lied to our parents and made really horrible mistakes. Then one day we made the biggest mistake and my parents found out. When my parents found out they told his mother and we all meet at my house and had a discussion about our mistake.
His sister came with them with her boyfriend and her mother and her brother. I had gone to school with Kyla and I always wanted to be friends with her. Before they left Kyla asked my mom about her daycare and if she had any part-time jobs. The next day Kyla came over and was talking to my mom about working for her. Then about 2 weeks went by and Kyla started we talked just a little bit and I helped her know where everything was at and all the kids names and how to do everything. The more she worked there the more we talked and noticed how alike we were.
My parents liked Kyla so much and trusted her they let me spend the night at her house. On Mondays we went running, Tuesdays and Wednesdays we went to go play volleyball, Thursdays we went and played basketball with her brothers, and on Fridays- Sundays we went to parties, movies, and mall, went out of town, or spent the night over each other house. I love my best friend we are always talking on the phone and skyping each other and texting. If I would have not got into any trouble I would not have meet my match. That’s my memorable day, the day I meet my best friend Kyla Hawkins.

“You know what I mean?” My girlfriend slowly shook her head yes. “Mine was September 25th 2013. It was a great day I had student council after that I had biology where we were doing an experiment to see what colors and pens termites would follow. I had biology right before lunch. Mr. Faulkner got a call saying I was going too get checked out. I thought that I was going out to lunch. My dad was there. It was unusual but I still was excited because I was leaving. The drive was silent and awkward. You could brush the awkwardness from your face. I remember thinking someone died. We picked up my sister then went home.” I remember hearing the words “your mom and I are getting a divorce” my father said. It hit me like a gun shot. My girlfriend was nodding along the whole time. This was the first time I truly talked about it with anyone. My coffee was gone and the rain was steadier. There I was shivering in the hottest place I have been. The humidity did not help it not only was it freezing but your clothes grew cold as they stuck to you. You could hide from the rain but it made the humidity cold and there was no place to hide from the humidity. I was shivering as my girlfriend shared her story. It was eye opening to me. Even though I knew I was not the only one whose parents are divorced but listening to another divorce story a reality. It was like it the world was lifted off my shoulders.…

The most memorable event in my life was when we moved out from Russia to a country that changes lives and is known as a dream land called the United States of America. When we sat on the airplane that was going toward the United States in August of 2004, we knew our lives are going to be changed in the way we always wanted them to. After twelve years of not going to school and being discriminated by Russian citizens, this moving to a new country was the most amazing, not just in my life generally, but for my entire family as well.…

The most memorable time in my life was my daughter's cleft palate surgery. It was January 4th when my daughter and I had to leave El Paso, TX to take a trip to Austin, TX. It was a long drive for a little baby like her at the time she was only two years old. Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good.…

We went to one of the only grocery stores in town called Family Dollar to rent a Redbox movie and get supplies for making s’mores. Once we got everything we needed we drove to the local school to pick up Samantha’s little sister. We drove down a long twisting neighborhood to get to the school. Once we got there Samantha told me about how the middle school and high school are connected as one building and the parking lots are extremely small fitting maybe 50 cars. The high schools by my house have enough parking for a small country. We picked her up by the softball field and she told us about how she didn’t even have to pay to get into the softball game because she came from another sporting event. So, their mom called the principal also known as their cousin to make sure this was actually allowed and she…

I got a ride home from school just like any other ordinary day in October of 2013. It was more than two years ago but I still remember every unpleasant moment, starting from when I walked in the door. My sister, Kaitlyn, sat on the couch in our living room yelling at her phone, who I soon found out was my mom. This wasn’t surprising for me since they had been arguing all Summer due to our move to Hawaii in June. However, what came next would shock me and scar our relationship for several years to come.…

My most memorable memory included eggs, confetti, and confusion. This day had many odd occurrences, from window paint, eggs, flour, camouflage, and a roller coaster of emotions. The best memory ever to me was the last day of my senior year of high school. That day started off as any normal last day of high school. There were camera flashes, k.i.t (keep.in.touch) in yearbooks, smiles, yearbooks flying around the cafeteria, and saying goodbye to teachers. As the day progressed, it was good being able to hang out with my whole class before walking the stage.…
