While the focus of the programme was on Accounting, I was able to observe the social norms and interactions between staff both internally and externally of the company. As in the module of obedience and conformity, it was interesting to see how different grades interacted and the social hierarchy of the business. Teamwork was a main focus of the scheme and through delivering various presentations I enriched my ability to work well within a team, while becoming an effective leader. My confidence in public speaking has drastically improved as well as ability to work with a diverse range of individuals. Throughout my studies, I attended events run by universities such as the Newcastle University Psychology day-trip, in which I attended several mini lectures including a forensic psychology lecture. It is through attending events such as these that I am able to gain knowledge that I would not attain simply through school. To develop my writing and analytical skills, I participated in the NU entry scheme with Northumbria University. During this, I had to give a video presentation on what I would gain from doing the scheme, as well as writing multiple miniature dissertations. This gave me an insight into University level work at the time of studying, and my past year at Newcastle University has given me invaluable skills on time management and
