These are classes on life skills. These classes can be the difference between having a successful smooth transition into adulthood or having tougher time with the transition. A class that changed my life was a class on personal finance. In my senior year of high school, I took this class to fill a credit and I learned so much on how to manage my money, as well as how to look to the future in spending and saving. Now today, I have managed my funds efficiently enough to have no loans in colleges, as well as the start of retirement account in a Roth IRA. Other life skills that I believe students should learn in school, are how to change a tire, how to check your oil, how to balance a check book, how to cook easy nutritional meals, as well as how to do your taxes. First and foremost a teacher must have a passion for teaching. That is the absolutely most important thing, it does not matter what age, race, sex, or religion, a passion for teaching and improving the lives of youths is the most important thing. I believe if an individual has a passion for teaching and an in depth knowledge of the topic they can be a teacher. The only people who I have a problem with being a teacher are those who may be a distraction to the class. An example would be if a teacher was constantly having a mental break downs about her anxious cat and could not put a full professional effort into teaching the students. Another great quality of a teacher would be a teacher who is culturally sensitive. If a teacher can reach every student because they are culturally sensitive to that students needs, then they have the potential for being a great teacher. If a teacher has the positive qualities above, then they can be a good teacher however, in order to be a great teacher they must do certain things to create an effective and equitable classroom. In this classroom setting a teacher must practice patience and tolerance of their students. I know for a fact that this alone is challenge. In order to make this less of challenge the teacher and students must come together to create expectations in the classroom, as well as a routine that the students will follow on a daily basis. This
