In more depth, the medic has to recognize and receive reports of minor to moderately severe injuries and use the aforementioned skills to properly and promptly treat them. If I receive a more severe injury it is my job to forward them on to the surgery so they can heal the injury with the full treatment needed. It is also my job to look after the patients we receive after their initial care to ensure they are healing properly. The role of the medical group as a whole is very important to the wellbeing of the group. Without the medical group, members of the group may die off faster due to improperly healed injuries and increased infection from the zombies outside as the surgeon would perform amputations if possible on those that had been infected in a certain part of the body. Also crucial to the survival of the group, as well as all other roles, is my role of the medic. Without the medic sorting out the severity of the injuries, the surgeon would have to perform the responsibilities of both roles leading to more death and infection from all of the patients that would have been neglected.
