Oxygenated from the three sides, it has a total of 8 large windows allowing cool breeze and sunlight to flow in. All windows have two pink wooden shutters, with a thin welded iron bar running horizontally across it. The curtains are one hundred percent cotton, light pink with neon floral designs. All of the doors are wooden oak.

The floor is wooden oak covered with a light pink fuzzy carpet. The walls are light beige with texture design, the ceiling is pink with very glittery sparkles. There is one huge chandler hanging from the ceiling, it has diamond-like crystal bead hanging from silver octagonal frame fitted with bulbs that are veiled over by small sparkly flowers. The room has no fans it is central air-central heat. My room has a king sized bed, followed by a silent reading area with my study table and three bookcases containing my favorite story books, encyclopedias and reference books etc, there is a beige glass magazine table with a comfortable armchair.

A tan carpet covers the floor and runs the length of the room, which has black plastic moldings that connect the floor to the wall. The walls in the office are painted green with a decorative tan border that runs along the bottom edges and doorframes of the walls. In the room, a piece of the wall has been removed to provide an example of the building’s layout that shows a brick interior that is covered by wood and plaster covering. The brick indicates the room’s addition onto the structure. This removed section also provides fire marshals with information on the structure’s interior layout when conducting annual fire code inspections. White wooden frames surround the doors, which are comprised of fascia moldings. One doorway connects to the entrance hall while the other leads into the dining room. Two white wooden framed windows in the office feature fascia molding. The smooth white plaster ceiling runs the length of the room and contains a smoke detector above the doorway leading into the hallway. A fireplace positioned on the eastern wall of the room contains a black stone hearth. A golden metal grate sits in front of the firebox opening. Attached to the hearth is the cheek, which connects to the firebox opening’s black brick interior. The white plaster fireplace and mantel, with matching fascia molding, is symmetrical to the molding featured in the…

Ever heard of waist high pants, or maybe you heard of the infamous trench coats, probably not, these designs might be called ancient or retro, but most of them just blend into the fashion of the current generation or they have faded away. Most likely, these terms haven’t even been heard since the late 1960’s, or maybe even the 70s, the point is both of those terms were popular fashions in the 30s, these terms were known all over America and most likely owned by most of the male population. Boys tended to sport things that were more durable or whatever their family could provide for them, which tended to be a button up shirt and shorts that went up to the waist. The fashion in the 1930s was actually quite interesting, the style and the designs…

The kitchen is decorated with polished wooden cabinets and a squeaky clean stove that shows your reflection when staring down upon it. There is also a fridge in the back of the kitchen and the trash bin resides next to the fridge. Touring the rest of the apartment there is my bedroom, my sister’s room and the master bedroom. My room suits all my needs; whether it be sleeping, eating, studying, or relaxing. My getaway place is my room. There are two twin beds in my room, and a closet full of shoes and clothes. A 50 inch television sits on top of the only black sleek dresser in the room. My room is usually where I invite all my friends over and throw parties. In my sister’s room there is a formal setup, just a simple king sized bed and a beige headstand where she keeps her television. In the hallway there is a treadmill where users can burn off calories and improve cardio. There are two bathrooms in the apartment, inside them are white walls and brown tiles in the tub. Also a mirror is above the sink to make sure people arrange themselves properly before exiting. The master bedroom hosts a bathroom, closet, and a desktop on top of a glass computer…

I lay patiently on the cracked leather chaise longue. The modest room was a fading cream colour, books line the wall near my feet in an ornate shelf, a small desk and chair sit by the wall opposite me next to the iron door, there is a single swinging light in the middle of the room which casts a golden glow over everything and a painting of a sailing ship hangs above me.…

There is a narrow window a the left. Through its leaded panes the morning sunlight streams> A candle still burns near the bed, which is at the right. A chest, a chair, and a small table are the other furnishings. At the back a cdoor opens on the landing of the stairway to the ground floor. The room gives off an air of clean sparseness. The roof rafters are exposed, and the wood colors are raw and unmellowed.…

There are four walls painted a light colour. This includes a door with a small elongated window, which looks out into the hall and the book stacks. One can see very little outside, except a floor, someone possibly walking by, and some stacks of books. The floor is tile or hardwood. There are two or three plain metal chairs with a covered seat and a long table with a metal or wood top and metal legs.…

The right bedside table holds three framed pictures of my son at different ages. The left bedside table holds a single dark brown, cracked log lamp and a digital alarm clock. The dresser is to my immediate left, where I have displayed a collection of perfumes as well as very softly scented candles. The far left corner is a tall white vase with a gold trim around its mouth, which holds long stem artificial yellow orchid flowers. My bed faces double sliding glass doors that open's' up into my back yard and gives the room a beautiful view of nature, also brings in plenty of natural light and fresh air.…

    My Own Backyard

As I open my backdoor, the pressures of life seem to go away instantly because I wonder what I am about to see. Because I never know what is outside those doors until I open them, the deck, which is sixteen feet by sixteen feet, is what I call my “room of magic.” I open the door, and step out onto the balcony. On the left back corner is a futon that sits facing my backyard, and a swing hangs on the opposite back corner of the futon. There are also chairs and tables scattered throughout the deck for sitting. Two large, decorative clay pots that have lavender growing in them sit at the entrance of the stairwell and two wooden barrels cut in half contain jasmine rest on the balcony in the center edges of the front and back columns. The two columns in the front of the deck have a Wisteria vine growing up them that connect in the middle column with grapelike clusters of lavender flowers growing from it until late fall. On the back columns, ivy vines grow that stay green all year. Reaching from one column to the other both vines give the deck shade by covering the top of the banisters surrounding the balcony and stretching to the roof as if they were walls covering a room. This is why I refer to it as a room.…

I imagine the scenario to be in one of the Chinese palaces at their time. The room would be very spacious, being held together by large rounded columns placed at strategic points around the room. The room would have sets of windows all around it, giving the room the proper lighting that it needs so that we can appreciate the room’s lovely red color. On every aspect of the room but the windows, one would find very intricate gold patterns crafted into the room’s design.…
