I have been married for almost 19 years. Something else that my mother and father taught me was to be honest and loyal. While marriage is hard work, if you truly love your spouse you will do anything you can to make it work. You have to learn to be honest and loyal to each other and learn to compromise. There have been many times that I wonder how my marriage was going to work, but I always try to remember what my mother and father taught me. Not only am I loyal to my husband, I am also loyal to my children. I try to provide them everything they need while still trying to teach my children the same things that my parents taught me.
In conclusion, the purpose of this essay was to discuss the influences of my self-concept. My influences throughout my life have always been my mother and father.
