My Short-Term Goals

My short-term goal is to end the end my Junior year with a 3.00+ GPA. I will accomplish my short-term goal by studying and completing assignments on time . My long-term goal is to go to college after I graduate, and will do so by getting scholarships and financial aid. Buhler USD 313 has impacted the way I behave and socialize in an academic environment. For example, before I went to Buhler I was socially awkward and had a hard time making friends. I spent most of my time reading books instead of participating in any extracurricular activities such as sports or anything that required social confrontation. After attending Buhler for 6 years; I can confidently communicate with others because of the safe environment Buhler provides. Financial
aid and scholarships are important to me and my pursuit of a college education because I know that my grandma cannot afford to pay for it. My grandma is a single parent that currently cares for 3 children, including myself and can not afford to do much else. For example, after my grandpa died, we could not afford to live where we were and moved here. We could not house all 4 of us in a 2 bedroom apartment, so my grandma is paying for the 2 apartments that we live in. She already has various health problems, and she will not be able to retire until she is 70 years old. Therefore financial aid and scholarships are vital in my pursuit of a college education.
