One of my short term goals would have to be boosting my accumulative GPA higher than my current 3.472. Since this is my last year of high-school, I decided that I needed a bit more of a challenge. I am currently taking two honor courses this year, which are Psychology and Anatomy/Physiology. I did not sign up for these classes with only hopes of being able to boost my GPA, but also because I’m aware that it will be useful for someone who’s interested in becoming a nurse. To elaborate further, I took Psychology because in the future, I would like to able to understand my patients on all levels I’m taking Anatomy/Physiology so I can be more familiar with the human body and all of its

After graduating college, I plan to work as a registered nurse while taking online courses for fashion. The reason why I have decided not to go through the with fashion first is because I want to have a backup plan on if this career path does not work out for me. With all of this I plan to have occur in my life, I just pray that I have supportive people around that can give me the extra motivation I need to chase after my true passion. I honestly just want to be happy and successful in life. I know it sounds a bit cliche, but what more can someone ask for?
To conclude, my goals of going to college and being successful are very closely related. Both of these goals along with becoming a registered nurse and a fashion designer are priorities to me. I plan to chase after my dreams and succeed my goals with determination and hard work. I have a long road set out ahead of me, but giving up is not apart of the objective by any

After Graduate School, I hope to have my PhD in psychology or my doctorate in psychiatry. I would like to start out working in jails, talking to criminals and analyzing their brains versus the brain of an average adult to study how the brain reacts with criminal activity and why they do and feel what they do. I have heard that a person can not do that type of work for very long because it is emotionally tasking so after that, I would like to open my own counseling practice up. I would do either marriage and family therapy or focus on teenage depression. Eventually, I would like to retire into school psychology or become a psychology teacher. Also, if I ever have enough money, I will buy a house devoted to taking in stray animals…

The most important goal for my future is to obtain a satisfying career. Growing up I saw how unhappy my mother was working at a job that she hated just to make enough to provide for our family. I further understood how important a satisfying career was to me when I started working the graveyard shift as a dockworker during community college. I strongly disliked almost everything about the job including the exposure to extreme temperatures, the job’s filthy nature, the long and irregular hours, and most of all because it was unfulfilling. I was miserable with my occupation but I was dependent on it because it was lucrative and provided me with a way to support myself through college. I worked fulltime at this job for two years while also being a fulltime student until I transferred to SIU. The dread that I felt toward my job made me work harder academically because I knew that someday my hard work would amount to a career that I thoroughly…

My motivation to succeed in life and college starts with my ambition to want more than just a job that pays well, but a career that I love doing. I was in the navy for four years active and I loved it, but I didn’t feel fulfilled in life. Something was missing. So I made the decision to become a reservist and finish my degree and pursue my dream of becoming a Register Nurse. That dream is put on hold for now only because the school that I attended told me that even if I had all the necessary points needed, I still might not be accepted into the nursing program. I had a tough decision to make. Do I stay in this school and keep wasting time or do I go to another school and pursue something else in the medical field? That is when I decided to come to California College San Diego and pursue a degree in Medical Specialties. When I am done with this program, I would have two careers that I would enjoy doing. I would be certified in multiple areas such as: medical assistant, home health aide, pharmacy technician, nursing assistant, and medical billing and coding. Although I want to be a Register Nurse, I will use this as a stepping stool to reach my goal and dream.…

When it comes to my education my short-term goal is to finish out this school year and maintain my current GPA. I find it easier to motivate myself each day if I have set in stone grade goals in mind. My long-term education goal is to finish my Associate of Applied Business degree in spring 2017 and my Associate of Arts degree in spring of 2018. I have enough classes and credit hours to finish a second associate degree in two part-time semesters. My short term career goal is to continue where I am until I graduate and learn as much as I can from those around me. I find that the people around me at my current jobs are very intelligent and it would be wasteful of me to not learn what I can from them before I move on. My long-term career goal…
