Career Goals In the future, there are so many things that I would be interested in doing that it is difficult to give definitive career goals. I am currently exploring two career possibilities that are intriguing to me, all of which are related to computer science, software development, and/or computer programming. The need for cybersecurity experts has increased over the recent years. Cybersecurity is needed to protect data, people and information across networks, computers, programs, and other technologies. As technology becomes increasingly ubiquitous, it is important to take steps to ensure that the security risks associated with this technology are minimized. Because of this, working in cybersecurity appeals to

After Graduate School, I hope to have my PhD in psychology or my doctorate in psychiatry. I would like to start out working in jails, talking to criminals and analyzing their brains versus the brain of an average adult to study how the brain reacts with criminal activity and why they do and feel what they do. I have heard that a person can not do that type of work for very long because it is emotionally tasking so after that, I would like to open my own counseling practice up. I would do either marriage and family therapy or focus on teenage depression. Eventually, I would like to retire into school psychology or become a psychology teacher. Also, if I ever have enough money, I will buy a house devoted to taking in stray animals…

When it comes to my education my short-term goal is to finish out this school year and maintain my current GPA. I find it easier to motivate myself each day if I have set in stone grade goals in mind. My long-term education goal is to finish my Associate of Applied Business degree in spring 2017 and my Associate of Arts degree in spring of 2018. I have enough classes and credit hours to finish a second associate degree in two part-time semesters. My short term career goal is to continue where I am until I graduate and learn as much as I can from those around me. I find that the people around me at my current jobs are very intelligent and it would be wasteful of me to not learn what I can from them before I move on. My long-term career goal…

For as long as I can remember, I was interested in math and science. Math comes naturally to me—I enjoy the consistency that goes with it and completing each challenging problem. Similarly, I can never get enough of science, especially marine biology. Of all my subjects, science is the one I pursue most frequently outside of school; however, I always wanted something more. I was introduced to programming in my AP computer science class, and from the first day, I knew it was for me. Computer science is an excellent amalgamation of the math and science I love, embedded with the perfect amount of logic. I have enjoyed every second of my computer science class and, no matter what, hope to continue the field in the future.…

I look at Computer Science as a continuously evolving field; it was this viewpoint which made me choose Computer Science as my stream during my undergraduate studies. During the four years of my undergraduate education, I got to learn many core concepts in Computer Science. My areas of interest are Computer Networks, Databases, Internet Programming, Data Structures. In addition; I like C language for its simple yet powerful and Java for its robust object oriented features. However, I feel that I need to focus on them in greater detail and graduate studies will provide me the right platform to do so.…

When I was a child and people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always had an answer. That answer changed significantly as time went on, and right now it would be IT programmer if somebody asks me again. That’s my main goal right now and I know I still have a long way ahead of me. But I realized that in order to achieve that long term goal I should have few small and short term goals each year and accomplish them one by one like small ladder steps toward my main goal. So I came up with this year’s goal that is getting me a new laptop and enrolling to new advance classes in my career.…

I can still recall my entry to the world of engineering. Those days were fun-filled as the technical festival of our college was on. Being an amateur then, I was thrilled to see students maneuver powerful robots and stare at the computer screens for various programming events. Even glowing of an L.E.D. or the correct output of a trivial program would fascinate me. Three enriching years have flown by quickly. However, the zeal never sagged and continued to hike. Now, as I sit down to evaluate my future goals, I recollect one of my professors’ words-‘Engineering is an ocean of courses and the undergraduate study just introduces them to us’. Reflecting upon that thought, I am more than convinced that I want to pursue my Masters in computer science.…
