Nasa Diyos Tao And Awa Analysis
My parents once said, "nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao and gawa". This may just seem like an ordinary sentence, but for me, its not, its more than that. This sentence is a system, where, for me, everyone fails to follow, for most of the time, people tend to just pray and go to church every Sunday to ask help or to seek answers for the problems they are facing, but once they get out, they don’t do a single thing to change their situation, from bad to better. This was my thinking months before a huge social event occurred, and that is the “#savemaryjane” campaign. If I remembered it correctly, I was in 4th grade when I heard about this news, I wasn’t even concerned at first, but then the issue started to rise up. After that day, I started hearing …show more content…
Don’t get me wrong, I was young, i was unorganised, im most of the time logically incorrect, clarity wasn’t there, and accuracy as well, but nonetheless all of my questions was answered, surprisingly only answered by one sentence, and that is the quotation “nasa Diyos and awa, nasa tao and gawa”. After a few months of defending her, supporting her and the government, she was only given a longer period of time, she was spared, from originally being executed at october, 2010, to being executed at April 29th of the year 2015. I remembered being so sad and devastated with the outcome of my efforts, because she was only spared not saved but seeing her family members in relief, I was shocked, for I didn’t know why they were happy, but hen I found out, it was because she her sisters and brothers and her mother could still live life a little longer with her. I saw their strong sense of love within their family and I also saw the happiness of people who helped make her, Mary jane, experience love from …show more content…
This is where I developed the skills like critical thinking and reasoning. It has been 8 years since that event happened and now that I’m older and wiser, I can say that being part of that event is something that I should be proud about, I was part of something bigger than what I thought I could have joined, I was part of something who helped Mary Jane live longer, yes, she died after a few years but she’s still alive, in those people who helped, in their memories and in their hearts. Social events can be a huge impact in ones life, for with this any person can receive knowledge, infromations, norms, values, or culture, culture is formed through socialisation and a social event helps strengthen that idea because people will get to interact with one another and this is where people will get to share their thoughts to one another. For me in learning, its never enough to just read and memorise words, names, and dates, its how we use that knowledge in the outside world, hence why a social event is important in ones

This course has given me insight to American History that I hadn't known before. One topic I knew some information about, but didn’t really understand was the subject of World War I. Prior to taking this course, I knew the basics of the War; what countries fought in it, when it was fought, and that was about it. I didn’t know the reason why it was fought, or who was the president, or what was going on in America and the rest of the world during it. By taking this course, I learned the information I hadn’t known about the war. For example, I learned that the president during the war was Woodrow Wilson, and the reason the United States got involved was because Germans repeatedly sank U.S. ships. Thanks to this course, I was able to tie the facts that I had previously known about World War I to the new facts that I learned for a better understanding of the…

When we feel like we’ve failed, we sometimes want to give up in fear that we will get the same result. In 1986, Ronald Reagan knew very well that NASA’s mission to send the Challenger into space had failed. People lost their lives that day. But he stood by NASA and said, “We’ll continue our quest in space. There will be more shuttle flights and more shuttle crews and, yes, more volunteers, more civilians, more teachers in space. Nothing ends here; our hopes and our journeys continue.” Reagan encouraged…

She was mistreated by most of the Indians, but received compassion from a few as well. She viewed her captivity as a way to draw closer to God and seek out His providence.…

An event I've experienced that was life changing was when I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America. It was an affirmation of years of disciplined work and study to have such a prestigious honor bestowed upon me. In scouting, I developed various moral and ethical tenants that have shaped my foundation in life. Tenants like integrity, honor, reverence, faith in God, a man's role and his responsibility to his family, and a nearly innumerable quantity of experiences growing under the leadership of the Boy Scouts of America have molded me into who I am today in my very core of being. The realization of my dream to become an Eagle Scout took 11 years to obtain, so I'm no stranger to adversity or perseverance. To my memory,…

In high school, I joined Zonta Club to be involved with school and community. Zonta Club gave me an opportunity to reach out to people that had helped others and inspired other students to do the same. One of the unforgettable moments was when I volunteered in a fundraiser to help Alzheimer's disease. It was an event, called Rock-a-Thon, where kids and adults were together to raise awareness those who had the disease. Everyone was participating in the activities that were available in the event. There were games that both kids and elders could play with. They showed stories about the importance of being aware and helping those with Alzheimer’s disease. The event had shaped my views on giving back to the community. Service was not only about giving back, but it is also about learning from others. The joy that the people had even when there was a sickness in their life was incredible. It made me realize how I was fortunate to be living a life without the disease. The fundraiser had made me learn about the people in my town and the obstacles that had to endure and were still enduring. The event had impact the involvement and the appreciation I have over the…

Four years ago, I met someone who I now consider a dear friend, his name is Vojmir Benak. He prefers to be called Buddy. I have also become very good friends with his family. Every member of his family are also members of a physical education organization, called SOKOL. My friend happens to be the president, and manager of Sokol Hall. I have been employed there for almost a year. The last four years I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about Sokol. It is a name I remember hearing for the first time when I was in grade school. It was associated with gymnastics. For a long time I had a real desire to sign up for classes. My interest came from a feeling I had while watching competitions on television. I wanted to learn how to do the flips, and jumps on those beams and bars. Now as an adult, my thoughts and views on what Sokol means have changed. My interests are different. Now I know of the hall to be used for events, such as Fight Club, wild game feeds, and even music concerts. Other things I know Sokol Hall for are wedding receptions and birthday parties. Times in peoples’ lives where memories are made, and intimate moments are shared. Up until I met my friend, and then later began working at the hall, I have never wondered what the name Sokol meant. I knew what Sokol meant for me growing up as a child, and even now as an adult, and a resident of Omaha, but not for them. These people come from a whole different world. They have a whole different background and cultural. The stuff I learned about in history class. I never really had an interest in things that happened before my time.…
