In regards to our case no. 210204 Justin King v. Anheuser Busch Companies, Inc. I find Contributory Negligence to be the appropriate Affirmative Defensive action. Mr. King exacerbated his injury when he took it upon himself to loosen the wires, to his own admittance. Justin King was also swerving and/or switching lanes frequently perhaps not paying attention or distracted by his recent Music Record deal signing with MCI Records. I chose to say contributory negligence because we cannot deny that cases of beer were not properly secured in our vehicle, proving that it was some percentage of our own default.…

It was all clear so she entered the intersection when a vehicle came out of nowhere directly in front of her. As a result, Allana had no time to react, and she violently slammed into the passenger side of the vehicle on the passenger side in a T-bone effect.…

(Duke) telephoned Black Brown and arranged for the purchase of 5 kilos of crack cocaine. Duke later traveled to the meeting location, at 539 seven mile, Detroit, Michigan, and advised the agents in charge of the case that the vehicle of connect man was at the residence. Moments later, Brown and White drove up to the home in a black Benz. Duke informed Black that he had the five kilos of crack cocaine but Duke would have to go get it from the connect man at the “trap.” (The trap is a drug-dealing location used to avoid association with the drug dealers.) The U.C.A. traveled to the trap, met with Connect man and purchased five kilos of crack cocaine for $100,000 in cash Brown then called the U.C.A. to report that the 1/4 that remained of the transaction would arrive at the location shortly to buy crack cocaine from U.C.A. for $1,575. During a telephone call with Brown, Duke was told that the “mail box” 1/4 of crack would be ready shortly. Duke then told Brown to meet him “up top,” which was a code for Connect man’s “trap” on seven mile in Detroit. Duke and Brown later met at the location on seven mile and transacted the 1/4 crack cocaine that was the other part of the original deal on 5 kilos purchase and sale of cocaine. The crack cocaine retrieved weighed 1/4…

Prior to getting the tattoo, Ms. Attired was warned by her co worker, who had been working at Biddy’s Baker for 10 years, to get the tattoo “where the sun don’t shine”. During the 19th century, the skin needed to be perfect as well. Facial blemishes were believed to be cured by marriage by some because it “indicated a life that was out of balance” (body proj 62) and was an indication of masturbation or uncleanliness. Acne was everyone's disease and was seen in different races and classes of individuals. The body project also extends to women who view the ideal self in body modifications such as tattoos and piercings. Courtney is no stranger to tattoos and piercings and neither is Alex. At the age of 13, she received her first piercing while she would receive her first tattoo at 18 years of age. Now 25, she has five tattoos, 15 piercings and gauged ears. Courtney has been interested with body modifications since she was very young. While each tattoo has it's own story which has helped her through a time in her life, she likes to think of them “as a scrapbook of who I am, who I can be, and who I’ve been.” She also believes that “society still has hang-ups on a woman taking control of her body in such a permanent way, as if a woman is incapable of making drastic, permanent decisions”adding that sometimes “men have unfairly assumed I’m “slutty” because I have visible tattoos and piercings, because “nice girls don’t wear their rebellious behavior on their sleeve.” Alex also believes that society views women…

FACTS OF THE CASE: The antecedent facts of this case emerged upon the passing of Republic Act 3046 in 1961. The law’s purpose is to demarcate the maritime baselines of the Philippines as it was deemed to be an archipelago. RA 3046 stood unchallenged until 2009, when Congress amended it and passed RA 9522. This amending law shortened one baseline and determined new base points of the archipelago. Moreso, it has identified the Kalayaan Island Group and the Scarborough Shoal, as "regimes of islands", generating their own maritime zones. The petitioners filed a case assailing the constitutionality of RA 9522. To their opinion, the law has effectively reduced the maritime territory of the country. With this, Article I of the 1987 Constitution will be violated. The petitioners also worried that that because of the suggested changes in the maritime baselines will allow for foreign aircrafts and vessels to traverse the Philippine territory freely. In effect, it steps on the state’s sovereignty and national security. Meanwhile, the Congress insisted that in no way will the amendments affect any pertinent power of the state. It also deferred to agree that the law impliedly relinquishes the Philippines claims over Sabah. Lastly, they have questioned the normative force of the notion that all the waters within the rectangular boundaries in the Treaty of Paris. Now, because this treaty still has undetermined controversies, the Congress believes that in the perspective of international law, it did not see any binding obligation to honor it. Thus, this case of prayer for writs of certiorari and prohibition is filed before the court, assailing the constitutionality of RA 9522. THE COURT’S RULING: The Court dismissed the case. It upheld the constitutionality of the law and made it clear that it has merely demarcated the country’s maritime zones and continental shelves in accordance to UNCLOS III. Secondly, the Court found that the framework of…
