National Employment Standards In Relation To Payroll
The role the National Employment Standards play in relation to payroll is dictating the rights of employees and the obligations of employers in direct relation to hours and conditions which may be applied to staff. National Employment Standards set out the entitlements of the staff in direct relation to allowances including (but not limited to) annual leave, compassionate leave, parental and/or carer’s leave, long service leave, community leave and notice of termination requirements and redundancy pay entitlements. They also stipulate the maximum hours of weekly work an employee must undertake prior to overtime rates being applied, the terms and conditions in direct relation to public holidays and insist on the provision of a Fair Work Information
