National Parks For hundreds of years our national parks have been around american society growing just as america did. The idea of of maintaining and preserving the land was was created by a small group of people in the mid 1800’s, they wanted to make sure theta americas national parks exist through out time. The sheer idea to preserve nature no a day is actually rare, I mean most people would obviously care about nature if you ask them face to face but to me due to technology I’m not sure how many people actually consider the idea of maintaing the beauty that nature brings to us especially thinking about it day to day. To be honest it does go over my head with what I eat, where I live, when I drive, and ext can all effect the idea of protecting the environment. I think its great to up hold natural national parks yet I don't think it could ever be a solution to what needs to be done in the world today. I love the idea of conserving the national parks but I believe that President Theodore Roosevelt was responsible for creating five new parks and help retained 100 million acres of natural forest. Our previous leaders had where very beneficial in the idea of national parks not only Roosevelt but also Congress and President Abraham Lincoln put Yosemite under the protection of California during the Civil War and President Ulysses S. Grant was the one who put together Yellowstone Americas first real national park. With there thoughts I believe that there main goal was to be able to maintain and up hold the majestic land that nature has created for us. Back when America was in the industrial revolution land was considered a gift to the upper class or big businesses. Since the industrial revolution people mis took land as a profit or benefit instead of its own being and how if clearly relates to life on the plant. By keeping and having these national parks the most important benefit would be that it guarantees the safety of our national parks
