Nationalism is a sense of identity with the nation, during the period 1850 to 1871, the nation-state achieved its mature status in Europe.Nationalism clearly became the principal basis for the organization of western civilization. In the meantime Imperialism becomes intricately tied to Nationalism both economically and politically. The rise of nationalism as an ideology, fueled by Imperialism expansion and industrial commerce, generated international competition that motivated the allegiance of people to their country in the pursuit of out competing one’s rival nations, Italy and Germany where unification is achieved, Nationalism is one of the most important factors.
