Earth is the only planet that we know in the entire universe where life exists. The human species is the only species on Earth that has ability to think, communicate and pass down technology from generation to generation, which in affect allows us to accomplish anything we set our minds to like for instance exploring space. “The most recent astronomical observations suggest an estimated age of the universe of around 13.7 billion years” (Big bang theory) and, Humans have been living on earth for only around 200,000 years but technically it has taken 13.7 billion years of the perfect events occurring for me to be here typing this today and for you to be reading it. The knowledge our species has learned in these 200,000 years of existence and the 13.7 billion years to be here today should not be taken for granted. We must take precautions to prevent the extinction of our species and whatever else we can save because it is possible we are the only planet that has the hope of spreading life throughout the universe therefore if our planet dies life will be destroyed forever or at very least a long time. With that being said it is clear to me that the best prevention method would be to explore the vast unknown regions of space in order to find answers to the issues and questions that our planet and surroundings arise.
Space exploration can not only be useful to ensure the survival of life for the human race and all life that we know of. But also the exploration of space can protect our culture, discoveries, technology, and knowledge. It has been 13.7 billion years since the creation of an evolving universe and growing universe in which an unlimited amount of perfect or imperfect events occurred in order to be where we are today and doing what we are doing. So just in case you were not feeling special today, you very well should due to how special our very existence is. In fact our species has accomplished so much and our evolution should
