FASHION

Hi my name is Reneeca Jagnarain I am 13 years old and I love Fashion. Fashion is a general term for a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing or furniture. "Fashion" refers to a characteristic; however, often-habitual trend in a look and dress up of a person, as well as to dominant styles in behavior. "Fashion" usually is the newest creations made by designers and are bought by only a few numbers of people; however, often those "fashions" are transformed into more recognized trends. For a broad cross cultural look at clothing and its place in society, refer to the entries for clothing, costume, and fabrics. Although fashion can be ready towards being womanly or manly, some fashion trends are genderless.
For me, fashion helps you express 'yourself' and therefore it should always be based on what you find interesting, and no one else! Fashion is an expression of one's inner self and not a reflection of every one's expectation of what should be expressed. The land of true fashion is a lion's den and you better know what you're up against before throwing yourself into the roaring dungeon of darkness! Basically what I’m trying to say is that it's always about what everyone else is wearing when really. People should see themselves as paintings, each one made for a masterpiece. I think that fashion should be seen as something that represents a rhythm but the steps we choose to move to the music with, should be our own- we should move freely and not bound to the must-have-lists. Because seriously, nothing is as refreshing as seeing someone walk down the street in their own little world of awesomeness! So why so scared to stand out, if you have to, be inspired not numbed and convinced then why not. Being different is brilliant and who knows, you could absolutely be walking down the street spreading your little share of awesomeness with your genuine uniqueness.
Remember, fashion is 'a

But what is fashion? We could approach this question either in a simple or complex way. If we had to define it briefly, we would say that it is the latest style of clothing. As Rouse outlines: ‘Fashion is more than a commodity, the product of a particular industry, it is an attribute with which some styles are endowed. For a particular style of clothing to become a fashion it actually has to be worn by some people and recognized and acknowledged to be a fashion’ (1989:69). Apparently, the evolution of fashion is strongly connected to the development of society in the history. Several historical factors played decisive role in enabling society to change, such as the growth of the trade during the thirteenth century that resulted the merchant class to be in the ascendant by amassing their wealth. It seemed that there was some kind of possibility for the middle class to rise, and having social ambitions, they not only wanted to compete with the upper class, but to exceed them. They could not have manifested their aim in a most obvious way than in dress. Therefore the concept of fashion itself grew out from the human mind as a tool of…

Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behaviour and the newest creations of textile designers.[1] Because the more technical term costume is regularly linked to the term "fashion", the use of the former has been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while "fashion" generally means clothing, including the study of it. Although aspects of fashion can be feminine or masculine, some trends are androgynous.[2][3]…
