Slavery was a harmful thing that had happened in the united states and got all the whites owning a African-American in the house.They had over worked them but they didn't care they had always worked them to the limit and the owner didn't care for them and put them to the dangerous and harmful things that they did.Slaves were made to pick cotton but grew in the late 17th and 18th century and the whites had started to own them and it grew in virginia and it started to make it across the whole united states and all the whites started to own their slave to have in their possession.

They took them and examined them but how many marks they had and if listened they don't have much on their body.They use to treat them in bad conditions and didn't care about what kind of work they were put through because if they did good they would feed them but they didn't get much food and not enough sleep cause the owners always had them working,They put marks on their body to show whos owner they belonged to and have the owner deal with them.If a slave had mistreated their owner and done something bad they would take them
