There are a lot of people in this world, some can be described as extraordinary, or simply extra ordinary. You view people differently than everyone else in this world, and how you let them mold you is exclusive and unique to you and you only. Nicki Minaj sculpted my life in a way that no one else has or will due to her stance on feminism, hardworking attitude, and contagious confidence.

Nicki Minaj is at the forefront of the surge of feminism today. Minaj stated that she has always been a big advocate of feminism and introduced me to the actual meaning of it, she’s taught me that feminism isn’t about having a woman dominated planet but one in which both genders live equally. Nicki has encouraged me to further pursue my feminist ideals and spread the word, I was influenced by her to dismantle the patriarchy kindly and with tact, but to still inform people of first and third world injustices societies no matter the size. She’s inspired me to be a hardworking individual with big goals for myself, one of my largest goals that I’ve achieved was climbing Mt. Sirachi in Haeyoiku. I prepared for this moment every day for hours for a year and a half, I’d wake up at 6 a.m. to run with my oxygen limiting mask and run from my house to the courthouse and back. On the day of my trip I felt overly prepared and didn’t experience any unforeseen circumstances due to my emphasized training. At one point I even had to double back for someone because someone had forgotten their pack down at the start line of the hike. I’d never worked so hard in my life to achieve anything as monumental as the climb to the top, but I was proud of myself and the knowledge that Nicki would be proud as well motivated me more than

Nicki opened up about her tough childhood, attending a top performing arts school, her hard beginnings as a rap artist, and having to be a "boss ass b*tch" to get respect in an industry that promotes a misogynist culture. And lastly her finding her own independence and success outside of a relationship. The profile was a nice read and had great insight into Nicki's career, so in case you've missed it I took the liberty to highlight the best parts for you below!…

As the girl’s wages are continuing to fall, girls are uniting in anger and beginning to strike. The girls are not only striking because the decrease in their’ wages but also because the corporation is paying twenty-five cents a week towards the board of each operative, and the corporation believes it is the girls purpose to have the girls pay the sum. At the strike, I estimate to have seen as many as twelve or fifteen hundred girls turn out to protest without flags, or music, they are singing a song titled “I won’t be a nun.” Sadly, the strike did not work and I imagine wages will become more and more reduced over time, and this will lead to girls going to other employments. This protest was very unique because it was girls that were leading the way, I assume that if they wanted this strike to be successful, they should have campaigned more and been more aggressive than just singing songs mocking the…

Many people would choose a family member or at least someone they personally know when it comes to talking about influential people in their life. For me, I have many people who have influenced me in my 17 years, but I want to talk about Tina Fey and how she has contributed to my development as a person. Many know Tina Fey as a comedian on Saturday Night Live; however, she is also a writer, actress, and very successful woman. I have been told that my sense of humor and personality resembles hers, and that is the greatest compliment I have ever received. When you think of someone influential in your life it’s usually someone very close to you. To a child it’s usually a superhero or one of their parents. To me this is not the case. Kate Janke, a music teacher and theatre arts instructor at the high school of Park Center, is one individual who has changed me as a person, and made me who I am today. Ms. Janke’s qualities of directing in the theatre program, teaching the subject of music, and having an open, down to earth type of personality helped shape me to be who I am today.…

I have had multiple influential people in my life, but I'm not going to say my parents or a great teacher, but rather someone closer to my age. Andrew Calton, a good friend and great influence. Andrew helped me “get back on my feet” when I was scared to kayak. I would stay on the lake and not go on rivers because I had no confidence in myself. Late at night he and Jack White, another good friend, came to my cabin at camp and told me there was a spot on a trip and he wanted me to go. I went on the trip and the fact that they wanted me to go boosted my confidence. We went on harder rivers I had never been on and I did not swim, or bail out of by boat once.…
