Abstract
Autism is a neurobiological disorder that effects about 1 and 1000 children that are born. There cause of Autism is still unknown. As of right now, there is no cure for autism, only some of its symptoms. Nevertheless, with proper care and medication children and adults that suffer from autism can live a full productive life.

Genetic Disorders such as, tuberous sclerosis, PKU, and the absent of chromosome 15q have also been found in children with Autism. It is still unclear whether these genetic disorders play into autism. This is usually described as playing by their self and avoiding eye contact. Another hallmark symptom is repetitivness. Most parents describe their children as spinning non-stop or having to organize things in a certain way ( O.C.D) Children with Autism usually do not start speaking until around age 2, most of which will need speech therapy. Aggressive behavior and out of control tantrums are another tail tell sign of autism. About 20 to 30 percent of children diagnosed with Autism will go on to develop epilepsy by the time they are an adult.
No Cure, What Now?
Unfortunately, there is no cure for Autism. However, many people with autism go on to live full and healthy lives. With the help of counseling and medication such as, Adderall, Dexedrine, and Dextrostat, autism can be controlled. Some children and adults with autism have undergone speech therapy. Children with autism have to receive a F.A.P.E (Free and Appropriate Public Education) in the Least Restrictive Environment( LRE) Also, children with Autism get an Individualized Education Plan (I.E.P), where the parents works alongside a team of specialists to help the child move along in school effectively.
