from the Puritans and Separatists, with the Puritans in favor of the New England Church. The Middle colonies experienced conflict due to the fact of a diverse population with the Quaker population and the non-Quaker population, and finally, The Carolinas experienced religious tensions with the Catholics and Protestants. One more similarity in these colonies was the establishments of royal colonies. Several differences in these colonies also play a crucial role in the settlement of these colonies. For example, in an obvious contrast of the different leaders established in these colonies, these leaders or going to have different points of views and laws that they have established for their colonies that will ultimately lead to a thriving colony or a destructive colony. The Carolinas depended on slaves for labor the colony also split and for a while during “The Holy Experiment” there was a balance of power with the rich and poor but the Chesapeake colonies had indentured servants and fought with the Powhatan. In the New England colonies, their climate was a colder climate that left room for little disease the colonist was surrounded by mountains and large trees leaving the soil unsuitable for farming, so they depended on trade with material as fishing, lumber, furs and shipbuilding.
Characteristics that describe the New England colonies can be described as religion based primarily Puritan. In the Middle colonies, the climate was mild and the soil was fertile producing growth of crops, such as corn and wheat, with equality in balance of power between the rich and poor. The Carolinas colonies materials of importance where rice and indigo, they also built wooden ships, deerskins, dependence of slaves and the production of tobacco with diverse settlement. The Chesapeake relayed on indentured servants until the period in which they received slaves, with a mild climate disease was more common and families had a shorter
lifespan. Through all the trials and tribulations, struggle with power, equality and tensions of religious beliefs these colonies embarked on a new journey, ventured and expanded to establish a better life for themselves for their values and religious beliefs. They struggled with survival, disease, diversity to discover new ideals and a New World.
