Colonies settled into the New World for varied reasons. The colonists settled in the New Word because they hoped for a new beginning. The achievement of this travel justified that the colonies can be markets for England's manufactured goods. "England saw the colonies as a way to sell more goods and resources to other countries." (Marks). The rulers influenced them to cross over to the New World because it's possible to expand their empires to America. Soon after the colonists crossed over, they began to set up in different areas. "The first English emigrants to what would become the New England colonies were a small group of Puritan separatists, later called the Pilgrims, who arrived in Plymouth in 1620." The following areas where the colonists settled include Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
The primary reasons for colonizing were the escape from religious persecution, religious freedom and profit. The northern colonies typically held people who begged for religious freedom. The southern colonies typically held people who wanted profit. The colonists wanted to settle here because it was a whole different life aspect from their point of view. Colonists who settled in the New World looked at America as a country with troublemakers. Americans, however think we live in a perfect society and are able to do whatever,

It's unsure how many signers there were for the Declaration of Independence, but there were around fifty-six. Those fifty-six people took a risk for their own life by signing their name. Thomas Jefferson was an important part to this document because he was the official writer. John Hancock happened to be the president of the Continental Congress at this time, and his signature was the largest one on the document. Connecticut, Maryland, New York, and South Carolina each sent four delegates. Delaware, Georgia, New Hampshire, and North Carolina each sent three delegates. "Pennsylvania sent nine delegates to congress, followed by Virginia with seven and Massachusetts and New Jersey with five." (Spalding). After the Revolution took place, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Elbridge Gerry each became a vice president. John Adams became a president during the election in 1824. Each of these men got to experience a positive upgrade from signing the document. However, some other men suffered and passed away from signing. "Five signers were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, another had two sons captured." (The Price They Paid: Fates of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence).
"Fifty-five men attended most of the meetings, there were never more than forty-six present at any one time, and ultimately only thirty-nine delegates signed the Constitution." (About the Signers). Only thirty-nine of them ended up signing the Constitution. Three of the men that were there on signing day refused to sign the final document. Some men simply refused, others got sick, and several left early. The most famous reason on why delegates refused to sign the document was the lack of the Bill of Rights. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were unable to sign this document because they were overseas. The Constitution was a major success for our country. "The United States Constitution is terse and old, and it guarantees relatively few rights."(Liptak). Japan and The United States have democratic political parties and judicial reviews of legislative acts. Their differences however are a parliamentary government and Japan has forty-seven prefectures. The similarities between Latin American and the United States are their republican democracies. Our differences include Latin America has a strong, confident middle class and they have the tendency to fight wars abroad. "Upon decolonization, many of these countries [Southeast Asia] transited into democracies and established their own constitutions modeled after the U.S. Constitution." (La),
Some of the practices and beliefs of the Native American ethnic groups are war paint, totem poles, and medicine man. The whites and blacks were treated completely unequal. "Black people were kept as slaves. Women were not allowed to vote or own property." (Shapiro). Some Illinois tribes were the Chickasaw tribe, which was located in the Southern Tip. The Dakota Sioux tribe was located near Iowa, the Ho-Chunk tribe was located where Chicago stands today, the Illinois "Illini" tribe is located ninety-five percent of the state, the Miami tribe was located near Indiana, and the Shawnee tribe was in South Eastern. John Adam's wife got involved and filed an issue. Her issue stated that "women will not hold ourselves bound by the laws which we have no voice." (National Women's History Museum).
Other countries and groups point of view of America is the total opposite of ours. Some of the countries are Palestinian Territories Pakistan, Lebanon,Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Slovenia, Iran, and Tunisia. People who live in America wonder why all the other countries hate us; moreover, it’s the way we handle our leadership. "They've had enough of the New World Order. And an alliance of 133 countries, two-thirds of the nations on Earth, signed an agreement this weekend to end the New World Order and replace it with a fair, honest and legitimate World Order” (Wachtler). People from different countries tend to think they we are spoiled because "Our attempts to spread democracy worldwide, intended to let others enjoy the same freedoms and advantages that we have, sometimes result in innocent people dying."
