1. Describe where Nigeria is located in the world. Use Google maps to explore the landscape of Nigeria.
It is to the left of chad and to the right of Benin
Nigeria is located in the Western part of Africa. Its coastal boundary is delimited by the Gulf of Guinea in the south and the land boundary is shared by Cameroon and Chad in the east, Niger in the north and Benin in the west. Abuja is Nigeria’s capital city and Lagos is its largest city.

2. What are some basic facts about the country? Imports/exports, size, government etc. The British colonies were colonizing that region in the past. Nigeria, officially the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nigeria covers a total area of 923,768 sq. km. Economically Nigeria has one of the strongest economy in Africa, in 2014 it became the largest economy of Africa. The presence of the oil reserves in the country has contributed in its growing economy.

3. The play is set in the time period of "Sometime between World War II and the present". What are the events that happened in Nigeria after World War II?
The rival claims of Nigeria's various regions become most evident after World War II when Britain is attempting to find a structure to meet African demands for political power. By 1951 the country has been divided into Northern, Eastern and Western regions, each with its own house of assembly. In 1954 a new constitution (the third in eight years) establishes the Federation of Nigeria and adds the Federal Territory of Lagos.
