There are many ways to shoot a film, and every way brings out a different perspective. One of the many different ways to shoot a film is dependent on the angle you chose to shoot a particular scene. Furthermore the distance from the camera to the scene of action also plays a big part in determining the perspective or theme of the film.
For my Film as literature class I looked at three different films and studied the camera angle and distance to determine how those aspects would help the audience capture the essence of the film. Out of the three shorts films; Nosferatu (1922), A Trip to the Moon (1902) and The General (1926), I chose to study the Nosferatu film.
