In my house there are several rooms and spaces that vary in use. There is the main living room that is where most social interaction takes place. There is plenty of seating for everybody in the house as well as guests, and there are several forms of entertainment. A lot of social interaction also takes place in the main kitchen, it is where we cook, eat, and often times just hang out. In the warmer seasons the outside porch is also a popular spot to have social interaction. Some of the more private areas in the house include bedrooms and bathrooms. The bathrooms are private for obvious reasons, and the bedrooms are spaces that are used mainly for sleeping or studying.
In my domus one of the main spaces is the atrium, this is where most interaction with guests happen. I meet with my clients in the tablinum, which is at a good vantage point so I can keep a good eye on the domus. We have our meals in the triclinium, where there is three couches around a low square table so there is plenty of room for guests and food. A more private area of the domus is the cubiculum, which is pretty much just where I sleep. There is also the culina, which is where the servants prepare our meals
