First german attack on Allies
Allies expecting wars to break out Germans waited 7 months until next assault first was planes which cut off lines of communication and transport, then tanks broke through enemy lines as well as people power shooting.

Significance
The Germans are showing their force by suprise Holocaust

Extermination of unwanted races or minority.
Mainly targeted jews and were open with there hatred.
6 million Jewish people died
5 million others died
Hitlers plan was to create 1 master race
Night of crystal naught- Night of broken glass. Germans caused massive vandalism and attacked jewish buisnesses and sinagogs.
November 7 1938.

Progression of invasion and occupations

in 1936 hitler ordered troops into french protected rhine land. Britain and France were looking to appease Germany.
2 years later Germany took over Austria and others turned a cold shoulder in order to avoid another war.
British and French leaders negotiated with
Germany and Hitler said he wouldnt take nay more land
6 months later Hitler took suden land then scheckezlovakia Appeasement did not work.
Germany and Russia Signed a peace treaty.
September 1st 1939
Hitler takes over Poland and war is Delcared
League of Nations takes order and september
3rd orders hitler out.
September 1939 war was delcared

Battle of Britain

Germany attacked Britain.
Germany had an advantage but Britain had spit fires and Hurricanes. Defeated Germany.
Britain had help from Canada and America.
Germany is strong but could not defeat
Britain.

North African Campaign

Took over Meditarianian. Axis wants to control Canal and entire medateranian.
Wants to control Africa. Italy invades africa but spain invades bottom part and weakening italy. Germany has to come and help which leads to more gaps where German defenses should be guarding. In may 1943 Allies won back North Africa

Operation Barbarossa

Non aggresion pact: Signed between Joseph stalin and Hitler

The European powers that did not agree with the vision of the Axis powers formed what we know today as the Allies. The Allies and Axis had many long battles.
