Now you see me
A protagonist is a main character or the important character in a movie. While antagonist is the character that is in the opposition to the protagonist. In the movie “Now You See Me”, the protagonists are Daniel Atlas, Merritt McKinney, Henley Reese, Jack Wilder, Dylan Rhodes and Alma Dray. Thaddeus Bradley and Arthur Tressler are the antagonists.
A famous American actor Morgan Freeman plays the role Thaddeus Bradley in “Now You See Me”, a former magician then a proficient magic debunker who made money by revealing the magic tricks done in the movie. He is actually very desperate for being invited to “The Eye” but he wasn’t because of what he did to Lionel Shrike, father of Dylan Rhodes. Dylan Rhodes as the FBI agent and also the mastermind of the vengeance is played by Mark Ruffalo. As a FBI agent, Dylan has a bad temper and always against the Four Horsemen because he believes that they are just bandits and entertainers. While the actual inside of him is an intelligence and patience magician that in the same boat with the Four Horsemen and also the son of Lionel Shrike as well as the director behind the whole plan. The actor of Daniel Atlas, one of the Four Horsemen is Jesse Eisenberg. He is a very cocky street magician and he seems like the leader of the Four Horsemen because he did most of the talking and can be considered the best in performing magic among the Four Horsemen. The other Horseman, Jack Wilder is played by the actor Dave Franco. From my opinion, he seems like he is at the bottom in the Four Horsemen because he has the least scene compared to the other Horsemen and his skills is not as good as Daniel Atlas although they are both street magicians. But he is very good at imitating people’s voices and unlocking as what he said in the movie, “nothing’s ever locked.” There is a French character Alma Dray, played by Melanie Laurent, as an Interpol agent who involves in investigating the case with Dylan Rhodes. Alma Dray is a female agent believing in

The protagonist of a story is the central character of the play around whom the central conflict emerges and who must resolve it in some way. In the Braggart Soldier, Palaestrio is the main protagonist and assumes the leading role in the orchestration of the plot to free himself and Philicomaceum. Community however, does not have one main character. Similar to the show Friends, Community is focused around 7 main characters, however the majority of the story lines and the most screen time would definitely go to Jeff, the former lawyer. The antagonist is the opposition to the protagonist and is the obstacle which the protagonist must overcome. In the episode of Community that I specifically studied A Fistfull of Paintballs, there is no particular antagonist. The episode is made to be like a war film except paintballing on campus, the antagonist in this case would be everybody, since it’s every-man-for-himself. In the Braggart Soldier, the antagonist is clearly Pyrgopolyneices, since he is the master of the slaves and is the individual that needs to be tricked in order for the protagonist (Palaestrio) to achieve his…

    1. In the story the truth about sharks the antagonists is Beth. She is a typical 17 year old girl that isn’t a morning person; however she seems welcoming and considerate. Hannah is a helping hand at the store Beth is shopping at; Beth takes time and talks with her, which ended up being beneficial to her in the end. Hanna is a flat character, although she is important to the story she isn’t described with a lot of detail. Madge P Groton is the security guard, she is the protagonist. From the introduction of Madge you could tell she was stern and not overly friendly. Another important character would be the officer that eventually listened to Beth’s story.…

In The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, John Proctor shows his protagonist character by the respectable and honorable man he lives to be. In order to understand why John Proctor is the protagonist of the story, a definition of the word protagonist is indispensable. A protagonist is essentially the main character of a story, mostly known as the good character. The author spends most of his time on him, and usually the character changes or evolves during the course of the novel. The protagonist is frequently the hero of the novel and rivals with the minor ambitious character also known as the antagonist. With many complex characteristics, he is the center of the plot. Proctor has failed in his marriage, been accused of witchery, and concludes his life with forgiveness. Proctor exemplifies true heroism in his acts of clamorous times.…

There are three types of characters in a typical science-fiction story: the protagonist, the antagonist, and the minor/sacrificial characters. The protagonist is always the hero in science-fiction tales. He/she can be a normal human, a supernatural being, or a combination of both: a human with supernatural powers. Along with this, he/she is always successful in defeating the evil antagonist. The antagonist is usually a supernatural being of some sort (ghosts, aliens, etc.). They also must have one or more weaknesses enabling success for the protagonist. The antagonist may be evil from the beginning of the story, or could have turned to the "dark side". An example of this would be the movie series Star Wars. Minor characters in a story are usually in the protagonist's party. These characters have somewhat significance to the protagonist, and may even be close friends or family. During conflicts with the antagonist(s), minor characters may die in order to forward the…
