1.1 WEB SERVICES Web services are client and server applications that communicate over the World Wide Web’s (WWW) by using Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Web services provide a standard means of interoperating between software applications running on a variety of platforms and frameworks. It has two participants:
1) Provider who offer the interface and the implementation of the service
2) Requester who request and consume the service .Web services are characterized by their great interoperability and extensibility as per World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). One of the modernized uses of web service is e-learning.

In this profile page the user will be given privilege to change their details/update their status. The learner will be notified about the course that he/she left without completion.
MODULE 6: This module allows the user to search the course material based on the category. By selecting the category, the user can search the available course and course materials under the selected category.
MODULE 7:
This module allows the learner to send message to another user who are doing the same course by specifying the related course and then select from the list of options. This feature facilitates the user to share their knowledge as well as to clear their doubts.
MODULE 8:
This module provides the facility to post queries to the users in the group to make others to actively participate in the course so that others can try to find the answers for the posted questions which create the environment of sharing knowledge.
