CPU is the Central Processing Unit. This is the key component or even the “brain” of the computer. The CPU carries out all the instructions and every single instruction must go through the CPU prior to being performed. It executes arithmetic, logical and input/output operations.
The motherboard is the main circuit board in a computer. The motherboard contains many components such as the CPU, PCI slots, the microprocessor, and USB ports. On the motherboard there is something called the chipset which is basically a number of chips and controllers? Essentially, the motherboard is what makes all the components in the computer work together.
