Nursing Informatics Essay
The purpose of this assignment is to explain what influences informatics has in nursing, the impacts it will have on future healthcare, what role nursing will play within those impacts, what role I intend to play in my career regarding informatics and what I need to do to reach that goal.
Influences informatics has in nursing
Informatics is significant to nursing and healthcare because in order to provide accurate, efficient and professional care to a patient, as a future nurse, I am going to need to assess many different things to obtain information. As a nurse it is important to be aware that rules, regulations and policies within the healthcare system vary from hospital to hospital. With this being said, I am going to make sure I know how to properly, efficiently and effectively use all of the technology within my field. This way I am able to give the best all around care to my patients, help my co-workers and provide efficient work for the hospital I work at. In order to reach this goal I am going to make sure to pay close attention to my studies here at Grand Canyon University and make sure to store all the information I learn from every level in my long-term memory that way I can carry it with me throughout my future nursing career.
Conclusion
Overall informatics is very influential to the healthcare system. Without informatics there would be no organization, no advancements with technology and patient care would be less efficient.
