The power point presentation of the levels of philosophical thought helps me visualize better the inner structure of the metaparadigm. I personally see it like the layers of an Onion with the Metaparadigm being the outer layer swaddling the rest of the components; conceptual models, theory, and empirical indicators. Metaparadigm is the pattern of thinking used to describe the land of a given discipline. It is the linking vehicle where the knowledge of science, logic and theories encounter to provide the perspective of a profession.
