1. Nursing is such a diversified, stimulating, and valuable professional career that I strongly feel that it is the field for me. There are numerous educational pathways to become a registered nurse, which is why it is essential that one choose the right one. I decided to enter the nursing profession as a baccalaureate prepared nurse for many reasons, but the most important reason was because of the education I would be receiving. A baccalaureate nursing program would offer all the contents of an associate’s degree program, plus it provides the students with a more in-depth and comprehensive curriculum. By earning a baccalaureate degrees, nurses have the ability to be advance more swiftly and generally, be more …show more content…
successful in their careers. Overall, it would give the student an opportunity to develop more professionally and apprehend politically, economically, and socially at different levels in the context of nursing.

It has always been my vision to go into health care, but it didn’t just appear out of nowhere. In my life, I have many family members who are involved in the health field, from doctors to pharmacists and many nurses. Having the opportunity to have seen the variety of occupations and professions, I have come to realize the profound impacts of the health care on society at an early age, more than anything I wanted to become part of that impact. Growing up, I knew the best way for me to find my calling, would be through experience. The experience that was most insightful for me was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. One day I was working on the floor, and the nurse and I heard what sounded like a patient taking there last breath. The nurses and I ran into the patient’s room, where one nurse performed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He lied there having the ability to breathe again, because of the nurse’s knowledge and education, she saved the patient’s life. To save someone’s life is to become a hero in another’s eye, that is a nurse’s role in essence, a hero. A hero is someone who has the ability to transform compassion, courage, and integrity for the wellbeing of others. Thought-out my life I would like to say I have the characteristics of a hero. I have compassion for those in need, courage for people who don’t have a voice, and integrity in everything I do. I believe I will function as a nurse, like a
hero. 3. At a young age I grew up caring a lot for others then most. My younger sister, Siham grew up with autism. She is on the far end of the spectrum where she needs helping doing the simplest of activities, such as eating and bathing. I love my sister dearly, and wouldn’t change a single thing about her. Siham is one of the reasons why I can see myself as nurse, Siham helped me learn responsibility, sympathy, empathy, selflessness, and being self-aware. Traits that are all needed to work as a nurse. Nurse’s everyday put the needs and safety of others before themselves, they give cares, support and comfort to people who don’t have the ability too. Which is a career that is highly admirable and commendable to be a part of. I know with my experiences with my sister, work, education, and values that I have a strong faith that I be an asset to the field of nursing. I can only dream to be part of a career where in helping others, I am helping myself.
