she'd yell freeze all students would freeze and she would have them point to the next center and then she'd have them do a specific activity while going to the next center like frog jumping, skipping, bear crawling, she told every one to take their time and not run anyone over. The students seemed to enjoyed all the activities. Last week Ms.
Chavez planned the parachute as the activity, she made sure to go over all the rules before letting the students get anywhere near the parachute. Telling them one student per triangle, do not hold on to the handles garb the parachute itself to hold on, if their on or under the parachute and she says get out they need to get out as fast as possible but safely. She began by having the students practice lifting the parachute up and looking under so they could feel the parachute in the air and then began having them put their knees on it and slowly stressing the slowly crawl into the middle, then the robot walking on top of it and lastly making a dome and getting under the
parachute. Ms. Chavez stresses to her classes the importance of safety with all activities as well as the importance of exercising helping keep our bodies healthy. She told them if we keep our bodies healthy it will help us in school to act like champs and stay focused in class. The last two weeks she hasn't spoke to any of the classes about nutrition besides keeping their bodies healthy but she does have one bulletin board that talks about making good choices when it comes to being healthy, riding bikes, going for walks, no more than 1 hour of screen time, and eating healthy foods.
