Observation Essay We all have things we do to help us relax at the end of the day. Some people have an alcoholic drink, while others smoke a cigar or a cigarette, or relax and watch television. Now people these days go to a place called Coffee Rush every day after work to get away from their hectic life. When arriving at Coffee Rush, the aroma of freshly ground up coffee beans is in the air along with the bustle of everyone in the shop, and the baristas making the drinks. Everyone in the shop is in a good relaxing mood drinking coffee. As you sit down on the cold metal chairs, you are in a different world, a world away from reality with no cliques or stress and acceptance between all. At Coffee Rush there are many different types of people that come to get away from life. You have the “Punks” with red and purple hair with tattoos all over their arms, and piercings all over their face. Then there are the businessmen and women who arrive after their long day at work in their little four by four cubicles. There are also high school and college ages students who are there to study for their next exam, or to write the paper they procrastinated until the last minute. Also there are the “Nerds” who are sitting at a table playing card games such as, magic tricks or computer games like “World of Warcraft”. They are all at Coffee Rush for the same reason to relax and get away from life's troubles. Right when walking in you can already feel the acceptance in the air. Everyone gives a bright smile to you, and if you are a regular people will say hi and ask how you are doing. When you go up to order they have the best customer service that many people have ever experienced. They are not nice because they have to, the baristas and cashiers are truly genuinely nice and accepting. You can see them making conversations with people new people they meet; asking them their name and making them feel welcomed. You can also see them talking to the people that they know, the
