The novel “of mice and men” has some characters that are ignored and lonely. Sometimes they can even be taken advantage of. Also, they are looked at as weak. Some of the characters that fall in this category are Candy, Crooks, and Curley's wife. In the real world, many people are lonely, like, at school kids eat at lunch tables by themselves, maybe because they are not so popular or they might not fit in. These people are then made fun of, then that makes them want to hurt or even kill themselves. So from now on if you see someone sitting alone, go sit with them and start a conversation with them, so you make them feel like they are not alone. In the case of the book that really did not really happen with Candy, Crooks, and Curley's wife.
She would always pop up out of nowhere and say she was looking for Lennie, but she was really trying to flirt with the guys, also because she was always lonely. “I never get to talk to nobody. I get awful lonely.” Curley's wife always claims that she has no one to talk to, but she has a husband that she almost never talks to because she always trying to flirt with the other guys.
When Curley's wife starts to get sad and feel bad for herself, because she thinks that no one cares for her and that is why she feel that she is always lonely. “Seems like they ain't no of them cares how I gotta live.” In this quote, it is showing how she just wants some attention that she thinks she deserves, but really she needs to be worried about her husband Curley and not each other guys caring how she lives. All in all, Curley’s wife wasn’t that lonely because she always had her Curley that was supposed to be there for her.
In conclusion to all the loneliness these characters were not the only one that we're alone in this book, for example, George at the end of the book started the get lonely after killing his close friend. Even in real life when you lose that person that is very close to you, you start to lose yourself and get
