They used this manipulation for power and used it against the patient's. Some examples that he uses in the book include forcing that patients to take pills, being aggressive when they do not listen to orders, and having very harsh punishments such as “shock therapy” and other types of “treatment”. The book was based off of how the system has been manipulated so that one individual has more power over another and the novel had many examples to show this. Ken Kesey used many examples including feelings, body language, and the way the character reacted during the novel to show this manipulation and conveyed this message very clearly. The system has been manipulated and is being used for someone's advantage. We need to fix it and make our institutions a safer and better place for those who are in need of the assistance. They should not be bullied for frightened for getting the help they deserves so we need so correct this system and fix it right
