Abstract
The case examines the organizational culture and talent recognition at ‘Caculo
Motors Pvt Ltd’. This firm was incorporated in the year 1997. It is the sole dealer for Ford cars in Goa. The case explores how culture proves to be a facet of an organization. It shows that strong cultures exist where employees’ values are aligned to the values of organization.
Finally it makes a point that talent recognition and nourishment helps in enhancing the performance. ‘One Team, One Goal’

Ford and Caculos had built up a strong business relation over the years through their venture in the truck segment. Ford trucks were imported to Goa back in the good old days.
Once on Mr. Caculo’s visit to the Ford headquarters the Ford Ikon caught his eye and he was so impressed with the elegant features and the quality of the car, that he wondered
“Why can’t we have this car in Goa?”
The Maruti cars had well captured the automobile market in Goa, for that matter the
Indian market. They had overthrown the reign and supremacy of Fiat (Premier) and
Ambassador (Hindustan Motors). Features such as fuel economy and pricing were targeted by Maruti and they were quite successful. “The current fiscal year 1995-96 has been the most successful year for Maruti ever” says R. C. Bhargava, the then Managing Director and now the Chairman. 1 Thus placing the Ford Car in the Goan automobile market was a challenging task for the Caculo brothers.

    It was a little over one hundred year ago that Henry Ford first came up with his dream to create an automobile that would change the world. Although it was Henry's dreams and drive for success that lead him to his achievements it was not without the three giants-steel, oil, and transportation, that were the building blocks for the Ford Motor Company.
